Apple Releases iOS 15.0.2 And WatchOS 8.0.1 Updates

Apple released iOS 15.0.2 and WatchOS 8.0.1 updates for its smartphone and smartwatch platforms. New software updates for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad have been released to fix certain bugs and close a serious security gap just days after the release of iOS 15.0.1 and iPad 15.0.1.

The latest iOS 15.0.2 and iPad 15.0.2 updates fix a problem with photos disappearing from Photo Library after they are saved from Messages, issues with Find My feature and a zero-day vulnerability that allowed hackers access to devices.

Both iOS 15.0.2 and WatchOS 8.0.1 are now available for download on supported devices.

Apple continues to make improvements to the operating system with iOS 15.0.2 by fixing existing bugs. This includes:

  • Photos saved to your library from Messages could be deleted after removing the associated thread or message.
  • The leather wallet with MagSafe may not connect to Find My iPhone.
  • Find My Items may not display AirTag.
  • CarPlay may not open audio apps or disconnect during playback.
  • Finder or iTunes may fail to restore or update the iPhone 13 models.

Apple Watch Series 3 models receive a bug fix in watchOS 8.0.1. This includes:

  • The progress of software updates may not be displayed accurately for some users of Apple Watch Series 3.
  • Some Apple Watch Series 3 users might not have had access to accessibility settings.
