The World's First Floating Store
Apple is a prominent hardware and software company which is best known for its series of personal computers, the iPod and its innovative marketing strategies for its products. The most popular product of Apple is the iPhone, selling 46.89 million units in the fourth quarter of 2018.
Now, Apple is set to open its third outlet in Singapore and it will be the world's first floating retail store. Apple opened its first store in Singapore at the Knightsbridge building along Orchard Road in 2017.
Its second store, located at Jewel Changi Airport, opened in July 2019. The new third Apple store will be housed in a sphere floating on Marina Bay. It will be Apple’s 512th store globally.
Apple give the description on it's web page for the retail location "We will soon open the doors to our new store by the Bay. Apple Marina Bay Sands will be at the heart of creativity, a place we've made for you to capture your ideas and passions,"
"It will be a space for you to explore, connect and create something new. We can't wait to see where your imagination takes you".
According to Apple, “Apple Marina Bay Sands is a dramatic departure from the design of any Apple Store before it. An elevated boardwalk and underwater passage connect the pavilion to the shore and The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. The structure’s shape informs an entirely new store layout.”
