Twitter is Going To Expand its Character Limit From 140 to 10000: Report

The company is planning to action that users can see more content on Twitter.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has been exploring ways to attract new users, more engaging, from adding curated videos and photos to displaying tweets in search results to making other people's tweets easier to find.

With regards to expanded tweets, Twitter is also working out a plan for how to deal with potential spamming issues that might arise with an expanded character count, according to sources. It’s unknown, for example, if Twitter will restrict how many users can be mentioned in a single tweet, but the company is apparently thinking through those scenarios. Twitter plans to talk with some of its analytics and measurement partners to prepare them to handle longer tweets beginning later this month, sources say.

In the few months Twitter introduced the 'Moments' feature, added polls to tweets, rolled out a "buy" button and replaced its star-shaped "favorite" icon with a heart-shaped icon called "like" under Dorsey.
