Apple Releases iOS 15.1 With SharePlay Support

The iOS 15.1 update also brings support for ProRes, which is available for the iPhone 13 Pro model.

Apple has released its new OS iOS 15.1. Many older iPhones, including the iPhone 13 series, will also get the iOS 15.1 update. At the same time, an update of iPadOS 15.1 has been released for iPad users. 

SharePlay was supported with both the new iOS and iPadOS, with the help of which Apple TV and Apple Music content can be shared via FaceTime. The iOS 15.1 update also brings support for ProRes, which is available for the iPhone 13 Pro model.

iOS 15.1: What's special in the new OS?

The biggest feature for iPhone users with iOS 15.1 is Shareplay. With the help of this feature, iPhone users will be able to watch movies and TV shows simultaneously by sharing them with anyone with the help of FaceTime. 

Shareplay support will also be available with Apple Music. With SharePlay, you will also be able to share your screen with connected users over FaceTime calls. After the iOS 15.1 update, iPhone users will also be able to save the COVID-19 vaccine certificate to Apple Wallet.

With the iOS 15.1 update, iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users will get the option to record ProRes videos. According to Apple, ProRes is an advanced video codec. It has better and natural colors recording.

After the iOS 15.1 update, the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be able to turn off the automatic camera during macro photography. With the new update, the Translate app has also been updated, after which it has also got support for Mandarin Chinese (Taiwan). The Home app has also been updated with the update to iOS 15.1.
