Google Introduces 'Road Editing Tool' On Google Maps

Google Map

You ever came across a road which does not exit on Google maps while using it ? The answer is yes, we have seen many roads which were not exist on Google maps.

But now, Google introduces new service for its users where it allows users to add that road to the Google maps that don't exist. For this the company has given a new "road editing tool".

"We’ve made it easier for you to report road changes with a new, immersive desktop road editing tool. When you see a road missing on maps.google.com, simply click on the side menu button, go to “Edit the map”, and select “Missing Road.", said in a blog post.

Google has provided editing facilities to improve the experience of its maps in more than 80 countries. Now users can work on Maps to add missing roads and remove the wrong name or change the name.

"Add missing roads by drawing lines, quickly rename roads, change road direction, and realign or delete incorrect roads. You can even let us know if a road is closed with details like dates, reasons and directions. To make sure the suggestions and edits are accurate, we’ll vet contributed road updates before publishing them", Google said.
