The South Korean Company Samsung unveiled the next generation 110-inch MicroLED television. In 2018, Samsung introduce it's first MicroLED display in the form of "The Wall". With the new 110" MicroLED, Samsung is delivering the MicroLED experience in a traditional TV form for the first time.
The new television is pre fabricated and not modular. It comes with an Ultra-HD resolution HDR MicroLED screen and is the first mass-produced television of its size with the new display technology.
The Samsung 110-inch MicroLED television has an embedded Majestic Sound System that delivers 5.1-channel surround sound directly from the TV itself. It also comes with Object Tracking Sound Pro, which allows the sound to be projected to follow the on-screen movement of objects.
It comes with a new feature called "Multi view" which allows the users to split the 110-inch television into four separate viewing boxes simultaneously, all with sizes of up to 55 inches.
It promises to offer 100% of the DCI (Digital Cinema Initiatives) and Adobe RGB color gamut, and accurately deliver wide colour gamut images taken with high-end DSLR cameras. This apparently results in stunning, lifelike colors and accurate brightnes from the display's 4K resolution and 8 million pixels.
The company said that, Samsung's MicroLED is made of inorganic materials and provide long lasting and durable displays for TVs. It can sustain up to 100,000 hours of usage, that's equivalent to more than 10 years of lifespan.
Although, MicroLED is available for pre-sale in Korea at the moment, the model will be available globally in the first quarter of 2021.
