Google Released Gboard 2.0 For iOS

Google Released Gboard 2.0 For iOS

Gboard is the official keyboard app from Google and is quite popular among both Android and iOS users. It is the keyboard from Google for your iPhone, packed with features to make typing effortless.

On top of GIFs, emoji search, and Glide Typing, the power of Google is at your fingertips with Google Search built in. Google has released a new version of Gboard for iOS which is available in the Apple App Store which brings revamped themes for the keyboard with customization support.

The company says that the Gboard for iOS users will now be able to change the background color, glide trail thickness, glide trail color, key background colors, and key border colors. Gboard offers a total of 28 colors to select for various customizations, including gradient options.

Earlier, Gboard only allowed iOS users to choose from dark or light themes. Google adds that not all theme customization options will be available for Chinese and Japanese keyboard layouts.

With Gboard 2.0, users can now customize four areas of the keyboard: Background, Keys, Key popups, and Glide typing.

Features:

Background: iOS users can finally choose a background other than the default of black and white. There are 28 color variants in total, along with gradient themes.

Keys: Gboard distinguishes between letter keys and non-text keys, like backspace, enter, period, caps, etc. In Gboard 2.0 users can enable a background or border, with both of those elements along with text themeable to one of the 28 colors.

Glide typing: Users can select a swipe trail color, as well as the thickness with a new slider. There is also an option of setting "Swipe trail sparkles” that feature tiny multi-colored “G” logos.

Key Popups: The background and text color can be customized.

InGboard 2.0 app, there features a pencil edit option at the bottom corner of every theme. When customizing, a preview keyboard appears above the interface so that the users can see the changes they have applied in real-time. "Done" option will be seen in the top-right to save the look.

Gboard 2.0 for iOS is available now from the App Store.
