Here’s a statistic to blow your mind! Facebook.com has over 13,000 employees. Google.com has over 64,000 employees. WordPress.com has...489?! Yes, it’s true. They all work for a company called Automattic, who design a number of websites including WordPress. Amazingly, this dedicated team of individuals manages WordPress.com. WordPress.Org Hosts Over 2000 Themes (as of 12/17/2015)
While we’re on the subject of themes and plugins, let’s delve a little deeper! WordPress.org hosts thousands of themes. The current number has actually been trimmed multiple times due to rules and regulations about what can be uploaded. The great thing about these themes is that they can be downloaded for free. Plugins are very much the same, offering different tools to assist depending on what you’re looking to do. These are the lifeblood of WordPress, offering possibilities that aren’t possible anywhere else.

You can’t argue it anymore! We love WordPress! Surely, we’ll be seeing this powerhouse dominating the web design scene for years to come. And the best part about it? It’s totally free to download! It doesn’t get much better than that.
