    AMD Announces Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors

     

    AMD announces its new Ryzen 5000 series processors for desktops, which are also the first chips from the company set to feature its next-gen Zen 3 architecture. The new processors are said to offer up to a 26 percent increase in performance in gaming and a 19 percent improvement in instructions per cycle compared to the current Ryzen 3000XT series.

    Ryzen 5000 desktop will come in four varieties: Ryzen 9 5950X, Ryzen 9 5900X, Ryzen 7 5800X and Ryzen 5 5600X. Out of all the models, the Ryzen 9 5900X is the processor up to 16 cores, 32 threads and 72 MB of cache. 

    AMD claims the Ryzen 9 5900X will deliver the highest single-thread performance and multi-core performance of any existing desktop gaming processor. With this processor, you can get base clock speeds up to 3.4GHz and boosted speeds up to 4.9 GHz.

    AMD Ryzen 5000 Series Desktop Processors

    The top of the line 16 core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X offers

    The 12 core AMD Ryzen 9 5900X offers the best gaming experience by:

    AMD  Ryzen 9 5950X

    The Ryzen 9 5950X is the processor up to 16 cores, 32 threads and 72 MB of cache and a TDP of 105W. The chip features a boost clock of upto 4.9 GHz with base frequency 3.4. The AMD Ryzen 9 5950X cost is set at $799 and will be available from November 5, 2020.

    AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

    The Ryzen 9 5900X is the processor upto 12 cores, 24 threads and 70 MB of cache and a TDP of 105W. The chip features a boost clock of upto 4.8 GHz with base frequency 3.7. The AMD Ryzen 9 5900X cost is set at $549 and will be available from November 5, 2020.

    AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

    The Ryzen 7 5800X is the processor upto 8 cores, 16 threads and 36 MB of cache and a TDP of 105W. The chip features a boost clock of upto 4.7 GHz with base frequency 3.8. The AMD Ryzen 7 5800X cost is set at $449 and will be available from November 5, 2020.

    AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

    The Ryzen 5 5600X is the processor upto 6 cores, 12 threads and 35 MB of cache and a TDP of 65W. The chip features a boost clock of upto 4.6 GHz with base frequency 3.7. The AMD Ryzen 5 5600X cost is set at $299 and will be available from November 5, 2020.
