Intex Finally Launches Its First Sailfish OS Smartphone At Rs 5,499
The previous year at MWC Shanghai, Intex had declared a partnership with Jolla to make its Sailfish OS smartphone named Intex Aqua Fish. This was Jolla's first tie-up with a smartphone seller in India for its Sailfish platform. After much delay, the first smartphone running Sailfish 2.0 made by Intex has been silently introduced on eBay India at a price of Rs 5,499. Intex declares the smartphone will also be presented on Amazon, Flipkart, and Snapdeal in the coming weeks.
It has a 5-inch HD screen, is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, and has the 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and it has 2GB of RAM,
It also has dual SIM support and 4G LTE connectivity. The Sailfish OS 2.0 comes with a restored user interface, also presents improved Android application compatibility and browser experience, smoother transitions and overall enhanced stability and performance.

Intex Aqua Fish features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The front camera also supports a LED flash for vibrant selfies. The smartphone is supported by a 2,500mAh battery. It is a dual-sim 3G accomplished smartphone. So, those who are looking at using 4G data plans would stay away from purchasing this phone. It comes with regular connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS
The interface of Sailfish OS is completely different from that of Android. It is deeply dependent on gestures and swipes. The device will be offered in Black and Orange colour options.
