Evernote Introduces Local Payment Options For Indian Users

Evernote is a cross-platform, freemium app designed for note taking, organizing, and archiving.  A “note” can be a piece of formattable text, a full webpage or webpage excerpt, a photograph, a voice memo, or a handwritten “ink” note.


Evernote today announced that it has localized credit card payment and discounted pricing in Indian for its users. The company has announced that in India, now users can make payments in Indian National Rupee (INR) for Evernote Plus and Premium subscriptions plans via credit cards.

Presently the localized credit card payment is available to VISA and MasterCard credit card users only. But the Company is hoping to take off other payment options later in 2016. The company also announced that it is also offering some great introductory discounts on all Evernote subscription options. Evernote works on a number of operating systems such as OS X,  Chrome OS, iOS, Android,  Windows Phone, Microsoft Windows, BlackBerry 10 and also provides online synchronization and backup services.

Ken Inoue, General Manager, APAC, said, “Evernote has been providing far from optimal payment methods, especially in international markets. We are now trying to optimize this for our focus countries. India is a priority market for Evernote, and the introduction of localized pricing is a strong testament to Evernote’s focus on the country.”

Inoue also said that "India is the fastest growing market for us in the world, and we are dedicated to making the entire Evernote experience as convenient as possible for our users here. We're very excited to offer a localized payment option for VISA and MasterCard credit card holders, and will soon be extending other payment options to offer even more convenience".

Evernote has 5 million registered users in India and 150 million registered users across the globe. The users now can take advantage of the offer and buy a yearly membership of Rs 850 and Evernote Premium at Rs 1,500.

This subscription of Evernote adds 1GB of upload every month and also offer other features such as offline note access and email storage.
