    Japanese smartphone maker Sony recently launched its latest Android phone, the Xperia Z3+. With the latest Xperia, Sony is aiming to compete against its rival brands like Samsung, HTC, and LG in the flagship arena. 

    The phone was originally announced as theXperia Z4, but that's Japan-specific device only. One of the major competitor for the Sony Xperia Z3+ is the Samsung Galaxy S6, which was unveiled at this year’s MWC event. The Galaxy S6 has already reached Indian shores, while the Xperia Z3+ is expected to be released in the coming weeks.     The Samsung Galaxy S6 boasts a metal and glass body, and has unibody design that means you can’t remove the battery or add a microSD card for storage expansion. The device sports a 6.8mm waistline and weighs 138 grams. The Sony Xperia Z3+ offers an aluminium body with reinforced polycarbonate edges for extra durability.     For storage, the Sony Xperia Z3+ houses 32GB of internal memory, which users can easily further increase by up to 128GB by inserting a microSD card. While the Samsung Galaxy S6 comes in multiple internal memory variants - 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB, sadly it doesn’t offer microSD card memory expansion. On the software front, the Xperia Z3+ and Galaxy S6, both run Android Lollipop out of the box.

    Camera features
    The Samsung Galaxy S6 flaunts a 16MP primary shooter with optical image stabilisation, f/1.9 aperture, and an LED flash. For selfies, the device houses a 5MP secondary shooter. The Sony Xperia Z3+ offers better imaging features including a 20.7MP rear shooter with an LED flash, an Exmor RS sensor, and 4K video recording support, and a 5MP front camera.

    Connectivity and Battery
    In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy S6 and Xperia Z3+ share quite a few specifications including 4G LTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi (including latest ac standard), NFC, 3G, A-GPS, and Bluetooth. Individually, the Xperia Z3+ an additional MHL 3.0 feature, while the Galaxy S6 offers ANT+ and IR remote. Coming to the battery, the Samsung Galaxy S6 offers a 2,550mAh battery, while the Sony Xperia Z3+ has a larger 2,930mAh battery with STAMINA mode.
