Now YouTube is streaming Hollywood movies of 'free to watch' section on its platform.
Previously, YouTube listed the Hollywood movies and shows that you could purchase to watch, but since October, YouTube has started Hollywood movies for free on YouTube Movies. previously it was paid, but now the users can watch movies with commercial ads.
While a new feature at YouTube, services like Sony Crackle, Tubi, and Vudu have offered ad-supported on-demand films and TV shows. Earlier in 2018, Roku made its free on-demand movie and TV show platform The Roku Channel available for users regardless of whether they owned a Roku or not, according to Mashable.
YouTube has the second rank in the web traffic website in the world, according to Alexa. YouTube is always doing an experiment on its platform, like commercial-free subscription service YouTube Premium.
YouTube earns advertising revenue from Google AdSense, a program which targets ads according to site content and audience. The vast majority of its videos are free to view, but there are exceptions, including subscription-based premium channels, film rentals, as well as YouTube Premium, a subscription service offering ad-free access to the website and access to exclusive content made in partnership with existing users.
