Apple Watch 2 Is Coming With 40% Thinner, Expected In June

Apple Watch 2 Is Coming Up To 40% Thinner In June.

In June, Apple will reveal its second-generation Apple Watch at Worldwide Developer Conference, according to one of company analyst, and it will be up to 40 percent thinner than the existing model.

Brian White of Drexel Hamilton also believes that the iPhone 7 Plus will be the only model with a dual-lens camera system.

Apple analyst Brian White of Wall Street firm Drexel Hamilton released a report on the expected device saying:
The Apple Watch refresh will not occur in September with the iPhone 7, but is more likely to occur within the next 2-3 months, and thus we believe an unveiling at WWDC in June makes sense. We believe Apple Watch 2 could also be 20-40% thinner than the current Apple Watch.
The smaller, 4.7-inch iPhone 7 is likely to retain a single-lens camera system, White says, which would force those who need the greater camera capabilities to buy the larger, more costly model. Both devices are expected to enter production in July.

“We walked away with the sense that the Apple Watch refresh will not occur in September with the iPhone 7, but is more likely to occur within the next 2-3 months, and thus we believe an unveiling at WWDC in June makes sense,”

the research note from the analyst said Friday.

Cowen and Company analyst Timothy Arcuri had also appealed that the Apple Watch 2 would be thinner than current models, In September 2015. Along with this, the Apple Watch 2 is likely to have a brand new design for an ultra-tiny CPU, which may be an ARM Cortex A32 processor in a 32-bit powerhouse.

The A32 assurances better battery life with faster execution and lower power utilization. It could be up to 25% faster than the current ARM offering. It is also expected to include new power management features compared to Cortex-A5 processors and Cortex-A7, thus giving more capabilities for embedded applications that need minimal idle power consumption. Other details on new features or changes from the Apple Watch 2 remain slim, but a thinner casing has been repeatedly specified in expectations and rumors before now. Possible additions include better battery life — which appears to be difficult to accept if they're making the device so much thinner, a FaceTime camera, and GPS.
