Travel With The Speed Of Sound To Become A Reality Soon

Today, Technology has done many wonders for Humanity and no one could deny it. Once again the dream comes true. Hyperloop, A 700 miles per hour train concept could soon become a reality in Europe. It was first imagined by Elon Musk. The plan has been initiated in which a track will be made connecting Bratislava, Slovakia, Vienna, Austria and Budapest.

The concept of Hyperloop was first revealed by Musk in 2013 in a white paper. Hyperloop can become a replacement to railways in the 21st century. With its beginning passengers and goods can be transported from one place to another with the speed of sound. Plans to build a Hyperloop in the US are already pressing ahead, but this is the first such a proposal has been made in Europe.

Dirk Ahlborn, the chief executive of Hyperloop Transportation Technologies -

not to be confused with Hyperloop Technologies, a company also working on making Musk's dreams a reality - said: "Slovakia is a technological leader in the automotive, material science and energy industries, many of the areas that are integral to the Hyperloop system".

After the completion of the proposed project the route connecting Bratislava with Vienna, which currently takes two hours of travel time on public transport will only take eight minutes. Currently, If you hire a car, the same route takes one hour for fifty miles. Bratislava to Budapest (currently two hours by car) would theoretically take 10 minutes.

A Hyperloop route connecting Bratislava to Košice on the western edge of Slovakia (250 miles) is also being considered, This would take around 25 minutes, far less than the 4.5 hours by car it takes now.

Ahlborn said that having a European Hyperloop presence will incentive's collaboration and innovation within Slovakia and throughout Europe. With our project in Quay Valley [California], this agreement with Slovakia, and future developments with other regions of the world.

Hyperloop in Europe would cut distance substantially and connect cities in an unprecedented way. A transportation system of this kind would redefine the concept of commuting and boost cross-border cooperation in Europe.

In late January, Musk's SpaceX rocket making company will organise a two-day Hyperloop pod design competition at Texas A&M University. Hundreds of school and college students will participate and submit designs. The winner will get $50,000 (£35,000) and a chance to work with SpaceX and Hyperloop Technologies.
