Nokia P1 Android Phone With Snapdragon 835 Tipped to Launch at MWC 2017

After the launch of company's first Android smartphone previously this month, Now Nokia has been listed to launch its Android-based P1 smartphone at MWC 2017. Further, it has been recommended that the smartphone will be based on Sharp Aquos Xx3 smartphone, which was introduced last year in Japan. 

This may not be the first time you have come across the name Nokia P1, but a new report state that it will be one of the smartphones revealed at MWC in Barcelona. Previous reports claimed that the upcoming smartphone could be simply a rebadged Sharp Aquos P1, but new statistics states otherwise. 

As per report by vk.com, a Russian website, the high-end Nokia P1 flagship smartphone will be manufactured by HMD Global and the company plans to retail the smartphone in two versions, a ceramic package with 256GB inbuilt storage and a standard glass covered variant with a metal frame offering 128 GB of ROM and also claims that the Nokia P1 will also be a high-end device powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM.

The Nokia P1 smartphone's value is likely to start around $800 for the 128GB model and around for the 256GB variant.The phone has been tipped to run Android Nougat out-of-the-box and sport a 5.3-inch display, covered in Gorilla Glass 5, with either full-HD or QHD screen resolution. 

Nokia P1 is expected to boast 22.6MP snapper with Carl Zeiss lens. It also adds that Nokia P1's design language will be like to Sharp-made Aquos Xx3 phone. In terms of water and dust resistance, a phone is likely to be IP57-certified. The phone has been tipped to feature a 3500mAh battery with support for quick charging. As per the report, there is a fingerprint scanner on the right of the device as well. 

HMD Global, which now holds the license to manufacture and distribute Nokia phones, has already sent out requests for its MWC 2017 event on February 26 where the company is likely to launch more Nokia smartphones. So far, the company has launched the Nokia 6 smartphone in China, with no plans to bring it outside the country.
