Motorola Announces Three New Moto Gs

Lenovo-owned Motorola today has just declared a pair of smartphones in India: The Moto G4 and the Moto G4 Plus. Both phones share the same basic design with a Snapdragon 617 processor, a 5.5-inch 1080p display and a 3,000mAh battery and "TurboPower" functionality for fast charging.

Where they differ is in the details. The Plus has a 16-megapixel rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture, "big pixels" and laser and phase detection autofocus. It also has a fingerprint sensor. The regular G has a 13-megapixel camera and no biometric magic. Obviously, both will be adjustable with the company's Moto Maker service.

The Moto G4 Plus will be offered via Amazon with prices starting from Rs 13,499.

Moto G4 Plus is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor paired with 2GB or 4GB of RAM subject on how much storage user opts for.

The Moto G4 Plus comes in two options – one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB built-in storage priced at Rs 13,499, and another one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage priced at Rs 14,499. One more major change is that expandable storage now supports up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Moto G4 doesn’t come with a hardware that will shame Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3 or LeEco Le 1s, but the company claims it deals the most balanced experience. In our review, we called Moto G3, the budget benchmark smartphone and that stays true with Moto G4 Plus too. Moto G4 Plus is not water-resistant anymore, in its place comes with a nano-coating on top of it.

Moto G4 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with near stock UI. Android Marshmallow provides it access to features like Google Now on Tap, Doze battery saving technology and changed permissions to apps.

Moto G series never had an enormous battery, but somewhat came with great battery optimization to keep the device running all day long.
