Tumblr Added Two Step Verification To Increase Security. Tumblr is a microblogging platform and social networking website founded by David Karp and bought by Yahoo! for $1.1B. Tumblr has already hosts over 174.2 million blogs.
Tumblr Blog added," “Security” can mean a lot of things in this crazy life, but nothing says “security” like Tumblr’s two-factor authentication. It’s available as an option in your Settings page as of right now."
Two step verification is based on SMS where Tumblr send a code through SMS to their users phone. Its just a layer of security.
