The GioneeElife E3 Review

Now, when it comes to our money, we would always like to spend it wise. For, parting with money leaves a lasting pain, one that is worsened if the investment goes futile. Yet, if spent worthwhile not just it entitles us to the proprietorship of a quality product but the smile on our faces is beyond words.

While Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Apple, HTC and other mobile giants do promise flashy products, they come at the expense of a burning hole in the pocket. And say, that the customers want to settle for nonetheless than what these giants have to offer yet wish to negotiate a deal. In such an instance, if another, not so giant a brand comes up with an offer far too irresistible within our bounds,I’m sure neither of us would regret considering.

And, standing out at such a range is the GioneeElife E3.

Main Features
1.2 GHz quadcore processor| 1GB | 4.7 inch IPS HD Display | Dual SIM | 8 MP Camera | 2 MP front facing camera | DTS 3D surround sound | 3G | Wifi | 16 GB on-board storage | Android 4.2.1 | 1800 MAh battery.

Build& Design
Now, the GioneeElife E3 is designed with a sleek body being 137.50 × 68.40 × 7.90 mm in dimensions and weighing 110 gms. The model is rounded rectangular in shape with a rubberized matte finished exterior giving it a robust frame. This dual SIM phone packs a battery capacity of 1800 MAh with dual standby and is available in the colours black, white, pink and blue.

Display
Possesinga 4.7 inches, IPS HD technology based capacitive touchscreen with 720 × 1280 pixels and 16.7 million colours the device truly stands out in the range of its competitors.

Hardware
Clocked at 1.2 GHz, Cortex A7 quad-core processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage, the device also comes with an extended external microSD memory capacity up to 32 GB which makes it comparable to Nokia Lumia 625 in terms of hardware specifications. It also comes with a microUSB port and 3.5 mm jack.

Software
Coming to the software, the Elife E3 is powered by the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean Operating System and supports html browser though it is java disabled and no flash browser either which is one of its snags.

Camera & Connectivity
Oh yes, the camera and connectivity - Talk of the camera and this phone really draws an audience flaunting a rear camera of 8 MP of 3264 × 2448 pixels with auto focus and LED flash and a front camera of 2 MP though no flash. The camera is also featured with face detection, touch focus and geo-tagging.
And in terms of connectivity, it is Wi-Fi and 3G/HSPA enabled. Furthermore, it has GPRS, EDGE facility along with Bluetooth v4.0 and GPS which more than suffices for basic needs.

Additional Features
To give a finishing touch, the makers decided to compliment the phone with additional standout features such as equipping the device with Proximity sensor, G-sensor,  Light sensor and Face unlock option. Also supports MP3, MP4.

Conclusion
While it has its own merits, there are some disappoints which come to light upon the mention User Interface which is not reviewed to be so good. But overall, it goes without saying that the phone may not have the glory that comes with the giant brands yet clearly its specifications are a testament to its quality, all at a fair price compared to phones of the same specifications by the giant ones.
