Twitter launched on 21st March 2006 by Jack Dorsey. Now Twitter has 200 million active users and people tweets 400 million each day. Twitter is an online social networking service and micro blogging service that enables its users to send and read text-based messages of up to 140 characters, known as "tweets".

This is where you come to connect with the world at large. Get on your soapbox to critique elected officials, or go sotto voce to the neighbor next to you.
